Today's Agent Skill: Employee Performance Review Assistant

What It Does

Writing performance reviews takes longer than it should — especially when you're trying to be fair, specific, and constructive for each person on your team. This skill helps you turn rough bullet notes about an employee into a complete, structured performance review in minutes.

How It Works

The agent takes your unpolished notes about an employee — accomplishments, areas to improve, attendance, attitude, goals — and drafts a formal performance review with scored competencies, specific narrative examples, and a development plan. It structures the output to match common review formats so you can paste it directly into your HR system or a shared document.

How to Deploy It

Add the SKILL.md to your agent's skills folder and provide your rough notes about the employee before triggering it. Works with Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Cursor, and Windsurf. Pair with BambooHR or Gusto's performance module to track reviews over time.

## Description

## Input
- employee_name: First name or initials only (for privacy)
- review_period: e.g., "Q2 2026" or "Jan–June 2026"
- role: Employee's job title or role (e.g., "sales associate", "office manager")
- manager_notes: Bullet list of performance observations — wins, misses, behaviors, customer feedback, attendance notes
- rating_scale: Optional — e.g., "1–5" or "Meets/Exceeds/Does Not Meet Expectations"

## Steps
1. Organize the manager's notes into standard competency areas: Job Knowledge, Quality of Work, Productivity, Communication, Teamwork, Attendance/Reliability, and Initiative.
2. For each competency, write 2–3 sentences of narrative using specific examples drawn from the notes. Avoid vague language — make every sentence concrete.
3. Assign a rating to each competency using the provided scale, or default to a 1–5 numeric scale if none was given.
4. Write an Overa
